The State of Solar Pricing in Cebu

If you're exploring solar installation in the Philippines, you've probably noticed that getting a straight answer on pricing can be frustrating. Installers often hide prices behind "PM for quote" Facebook posts. But going solar shouldn't be a mystery.

In Cebu, the standard for residential installations is now the Hybrid Solar System. Pure grid-tie systems have fallen out of favor because they don't protect against VECO brownouts. The prices below reflect modern, high-quality hybrid systems equipped with LiFePO4 batteries.

2026 Cost Breakdown by System Size

System sizing is based on your electrical load. Here are the true "all-in" market rates for premium hybrid installations in Cebu.

3KW Hybrid System: ₱150,000 – ₱200,000

Ideal for: Homes with monthly bills between ₱2,000 to ₱5,000.

This entry-level system typically includes 6 to 8 Tier-1 solar panels, a 3KW hybrid inverter (like Solis or Deye), and a 5kWh LiFePO4 battery. It can comfortably run your lights, fans, refrigerator, electronics, and one inverter aircon during the day, with battery backup for the essentials at night.

6KW Hybrid System: ₱330,000 – ₱450,000

Ideal for: Homes with monthly bills between ₱5,000 to ₱12,000.

This is the most popular size in Cebu subdivisions. It handles larger loads: 2 to 3 aircons, water heaters, and multiple appliances. It includes 10 to 14 high-wattage panels, a 6KW to 8KW hybrid inverter, and a 10kWh LiFePO4 battery bank. The payback period for this size is exceptionally fast.

10KW Hybrid System: ₱520,000 – ₱700,000

Ideal for: Large homes, small commercial spaces, and monthly bills of ₱10,000 to ₱20,000+.

Built for heavy consumption, this system features 16+ panels, a robust 10KW to 12KW inverter, and a 15kWh+ battery bank. It provides massive daytime offset and significant nighttime brownout protection for demanding loads.

What Does "All-In" Actually Mean?

When SolarStream quotes an all-in price, it means there are no hidden fees. A genuine comprehensive quote must include:

  • Premium Equipment: Tier-1 Monocrystalline panels, hybrid inverter, and LiFePO4 battery.
  • Installation Hardware: Typhoon-rated aluminum mounting rails, DC/AC breakers, surge protectors, and outdoor-rated cables.
  • LGU Permits: Processing of the electrical permit and building permit from your local city hall.
  • Net Metering: Complete handling of the VECO Net Metering application, including PEE (Professional Electrical Engineer) sign-offs.
  • Labor & Logistics: Delivery, professional installation, and commissioning.

Beware of "Cheap" Solar Quotes

If you receive a quote that is drastically lower than the ranges above, proceed with caution. Cheap solar is achieved by cutting corners:

  • Using outdated poly-crystalline panels instead of mono-crystalline.
  • Substituting safe, long-lasting LiFePO4 batteries with cheap, short-lived Lead-Acid or Gel batteries. (Read our battery guide here).
  • Skipping LGU permits and Net Metering entirely, leaving you with an illegal, uncertified installation.
  • Using substandard, non-typhoon-rated mounting brackets.

Rule of Thumb: Solar is a 25-year investment on the roof of your house. It is the last place you should look for the lowest possible bidder.

The ranges above are a great starting point, but exact pricing requires a site assessment to evaluate your roof pitch, electrical panel location, and shading.
